GLUTEN FREE WAFFLES

 

INGREDIENTS

 

• 1 cup gluten-free

• ½ cup almond flour

• 4 teaspoons baking powder

• ½ teaspoon salt

• 1 ½ cups milk of choice

• 2 teaspoons cider vinegar

• ⅓ cup oil

• 2 eggs, separated

• 2 drops madagascar vanilla

• 1 drop of cinnamon

INSTRUCTIONS

• In a medium bowl, whisk together the dry ingredients.

• In a large measuring cup, mix together the milk, vinegar and all oils.

• Separate the eggs. Add the egg yolks to the milk mixture

• Add the whites to a small mixing bowl. Using an electric mixer, beat the egg whites on high speed until foamy and they hold stiff peaks.

• Whisk the egg yolks into the milk mixture.

• Add the milk mixture to the dry ingredients and whisk to combine.

• Using a rubber spatula, gently fold in the egg whites until the batter is just evenly combined.

• Cook the waffles in your waffle iron according to instructions.

• Pour about ⅓-1/2 cup of the mixture into the waffle iron and cook until crispy.

CASHEW BUTTER

 

INGREDIENTS

 

• 4 cups raw cashews

• 2 teaspoons extra virgin coconut oil

• 1/4 teaspoon sea salt

• 2 drops of Madagascar vanilla essential oil

• 1 drop of cinnamon essential oil

 

INSTRUCTIONS

 

• Preheat oven to 325ºF.

• In a large bowl mix the raw cashews with coconut oil, and salt.

• Spread evenly onto a baking sheet and toast for 10-15 minutes, or until lightly golden.

Let cashews cool completely before blending.

• In a food processor or high powered blender add the toasted cashews and essential oils.

• Process for 5-10 minutes depending on your machine.

• Scrape down the side of the bowl every few minutes for a smooth creamy consistency.

• Transfer cashew butter into glass jar. Do not place lid on until the butter has completely cooled (may be warm from processing).

• Store in the fridge or in the cupboard for up to 1 month.

 

PIZZA DOUGH

 

INGREDIENTS

 

• 1 cup all-purpose flour

• 1⁄2 cup whole wheat flour

• 2 tablespoons flax seed meal

• 2 teaspoons quick-rising yeast

• 1⁄2 teaspoon salt

• 2⁄3 cup very warm water

• 3 teaspoons olive oil

• 2 teaspoons honey

 

INSTRUCTIONS

• In a medium bowl mix flours, flax meal, yeast and salt.

• In a large glass mix in warm water, olive oil, and honey.

• Pour mixture over dry ingredients and mix.

• Mix with a spatula until well combined and finish with by hand.

• Lightly grease a glass bowl with oil and place dough inside.

• Turn dough onto lightly floured surface, knead for 2 minutes.

• Let it double in size in a warm place for at least 1 hour.

• When dough has risen, turn out onto a lightly floured surface.

• Roll dough into a 12 inch circle. Transfer dough to prepared pizza pan.

• Top with your favorite pizza toppings.

• Bake for 15 minutes at 425* oven.

To make this an oil infused recipe add 1 drop basil and 1 drop of thyme to your pizza sauce.

MOISTURIZING LOTION BARS

 

INGREDIENTS:

• ⅔ cup beeswax

• ½ cup coconut oil

• ½ cup shea or cocoa butter

• 10-15 drops essential oil

 

INSTRUCTIONS:

• Combine the coconut oil, vitamin E oil, shea butter, and beeswax in a glass jar or small mixing bowl.

• Set the container over a saucepan with a few inches of water to make a quick double boiler.

• Bring the water to a low simmer (medium-low heat should do it!) until the beeswax and butter have melted. Then remove the container from the saucepan.

• Let the mixture cool for two to three minutes, then mix in essential oils with a spatula.

• Carefully pour your lotion mixture into a silicone or other heatproof candy mold of your choice and allow to cool until solid.

CREAMSICLE LIP BALM

 

INGREDIENTS:

• 1 tbsp beeswax

• 1 tbsp coconut oil

• ½ tbsp shea butter

• ½ tbsp cocoa butter

• 15 drops Wild Orange

• 5 drops Madagascar vanilla

 

INSTRUCTIONS:

• Place everything but oils into a glass measuring cup or bowl.

• Fill a large saucepan with one to one and a half inches of water. Bring to boil.

• Once boiling, place the glass measuring cup in the centre of the saucepan.

• Stir every few minutes until ingredients have melted and are combined.

• Once all wax is melted, remove from heat and let sit for three minutes.

• Add essential oils and mix well.

• Pour mixture into lip balm containers and let cool until solid.

INGREDIENTS:

• 8 ounce glass pump bottle

• ½ cup unscented castile soap

• 4 tablespoons vegetable glycerin

• Combine ingredients into glass pump bottle.

• Add desired essential oil (s).

• Shake to combine.
