Save Big On Groceries With This Tip...

I don't know who needs to hear this, but you don’t need to be a good cook to look like one. 😂

Somewhere between chasing kids, trying to not burn dinner, and Googling “easy dinners that don’t involve 37 ingredients,” I stumbled across something that seriously upped my kitchen game… and it wasn’t a fancy new pan or a better meal plan.

It was essential oils.
Yup. Not just for diffusing. Not just for sleep or head tension or stress. (Though... yes to all of that too.)

Cooking with essential oils is one of those why-did-no-one-tell-me-sooner kind of things.

Because here’s the truth: food doesn’t have to be complicated to be healthy, flavorful, and functional.

And once I realized I could flavor a whole meal with just a drop or two of oil—and actually support our health while doing it? Total lightbulb moment. 💡

One Drop = BIG Flavor

Cooking with essential oils isn’t about dumping an entire bottle into your soup. (Please don’t. 😂)
We’re talking one drop. That’s it.

doTERRA oils are extremely potent—like, one drop of Peppermint equals about 28 cups of peppermint tea kind of potent. So a single bottle goes a long way. It’s pure, clean, and super fresh. Honestly, it tastes like the herb just got picked five seconds ago.

I use Basil or Oregano in my pasta sauces, Lemon in homemade vinaigrettes, and Wild Orange in my smoothies or chocolate treats. It adds a whole layer of flavor without you needing a bunch of ingredients or chopping ten things.

No More Sad Wilted Herbs

Raise your hand if you’ve ever bought fresh herbs for a recipe and then found them liquefied in the back of the fridge 9 days later. 🙋‍♀️

Been there.

That’s one of the best parts about cooking with oils—you don’t waste anything. They’re shelf stable, ready when you need them, and they don’t go bad after a week. I keep a little lineup of cooking oils in my kitchen drawer and just grab and go.

It’s the lazy girl’s secret to flavorful food. 😎 (And honestly, it's budget-friendly. One $15 bottle of Lemon essential oil replaces SO many lemons, dressings, and marinades.)

The Flavor that Does Something Back

This is where essential oils get to flex. They’re not just for taste—they’re actually good for your body.

👉 Lemon supports digestion and detox
👉 Oregano has powerful cleansing properties
👉 Peppermint can help soothe the stomach
👉 Ginger supports digestion and eases queasiness

So when I add them to my meals, I’m not just making it taste better—I’m sneaking in little health boosts my kids don’t even notice. (They just think I’m being extra fancy. 😂)

If you’re like me, you’ve probably tried to “eat clean” or make healthier meals... but you’ve also stared at your spice cabinet wondering how everything smells like sawdust.

Essential oils are like the shortcut you didn’t know you needed. They make healthy cooking less stressful, more flavorful, and honestly? A little fun.

You’re still feeding your people. Still trying to do your best. But now you’ve got something up your sleeve that makes you feel like a food magician. (Minus the smoke and top hat.)

So if you’re tired of boring dinners, wilted herbs, or wondering what’s actually in your store-bought seasonings… essential oils are the upgrade you didn’t know you needed.

Start with a drop. Play around. You don’t have to be a gourmet chef to cook something beautiful and beneficial.
