Garlic Cream Sauce

We love dipping our homemade rolls into this at Thanksgiving and Christmas … it’s so delish! It was originally part of a recipe for grilled cabbage that we made for Christmas. Now we automatically attach this recipe anytime we are making our homemade rolls.

2 tablespoons butter or margarine
1 teaspoon garlic
1 cup heavy whipping cream
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon freshly ground pepper

Melt butter in a small saucepan over medium heat; add garlic, and saute 1 minute or until garlic is golden. Add cream, and bring to a boil. Reduce heat, and simmer over medium-low heat 10 minutes or until slightly thickened. Add salt and pepper. (For make ahead: Cover garlic cream, and chill up to 2 days; reheat in microwave or saucepan.)
